2005 Hyundai Accent Review

This is a review of the 2005 Hyundai Accent. The main positive about this one is the cost of acquisition and the terrific gas mileage it provides. The Accent is not normally purchased for its creature features. The people who opt for this type of vehicle are interested in basic transportation. This provides that adequately. The 4 cylinder is plenty peppy and the automatic or standard transmission are equally reliable.

Pros: Gas saving and cost of acquisition

Cons: Lack of creature features and bland design

2000 Hyundai Elantra Review

This 2000 Hyundai Elantra is a perfect for a first time driver. Tt is inexpensive and reliable. It’s great on gas and is safe. It’s not expensive to repair because parts are readily available. However, you must watch out for defective overdrive gear in the transmission. This will not manifest itself until the car reaches approximately 50 mph. There is also rot issues with some on the rear undercarriage. Examine the undercarriage carefully.

Pros: Great entry level car, safe, reliable

Cons: Faulty overdrive gear in transmission and corrosion in the rear undercarriage

2001 Ford F-150 Pick-up Review

The 2001 Ford F150. This is a sound full size pickup. It should be equipped with the V8 not the 6 cylinder because the bigger motor is better for tackling the normal full size pickup chores. The flare-side side is much more practical than the step side for the person who needs this on the construction site. These are susceptible to rot and rust in the undercarriage. Be careful of the rear shackles that connect the rear springs. They have a tendency to rot out. Fortunately they can be easily replaced with a factory replacement part that is stocked at your local Ford parts dealer.

Pros: Durability and practicality

Cons: The ever present rot issues on the undercarriage

2004 Ford Ranger Review

This is a review of the 2004 Ford Ranger. The Ford Ranger has been a presence on the small truck landscape for decades. It is a sound, practical, and reliable. The 4 cylinder or the six cylinder are equally sound as well as thew automatic transmission. The biggest flaw to these trucks is the rot that can develop on the undercarriage and chassis. This can be serious in older models. Examine the underneath carefully if you are deciding whether to purchase this model

Pros: Reliable power plant

Cons: Rot issues that can be serious in the older models
