The 1998 Dodge 1500 Ram is a solid workhorse. The 4×4 option is recommended. The best thing about these is their acquisition costs. They are generally less expensive than their Ford or Chevy rivals and they are just as roadworthy. Their major flaw is rot on the lower extremities. This can be extensive in the older models. Ford and Chevy trucks are plagued by this also.
